What is your sleep position?

Your sleeping position preference can play an important part in choosing the right mattress. Sleeping on a mattress that offers the right support for your usual position can eliminate pain and enhance good sleep.

BACK SLEEPERS

If you sleep on your back, softer mattresses probably won’t provide enough support to keep your spine aligned as you sleep. A firmer foam or hybrid mattress, may help you get better rest.

SIDE SLEEPERS

Sleeping on your side inevitably puts pressure on your shoulders and hips, so a softer mattress that helps relieve pressure at these key points may be what you need. Memory foam or pillow-top mattresses provide an ideal blend of comfort and support.

STOMACH SLEEPERS

Stomach sleeping puts stress on your spine. This can lead to back and neck pain. An ideal mattress for stomach sleepers should firmly support the spine. A firm hybrid or foam mattress is probably what you need.

COMBINATION SLEEPERS

If you change positions throughout the night, you are considered a combination sleeper. A medium-firm mattress has a blend of comfort and support. Latex and other types of foam that respond well to movement may be considered. Hybrids too tend to make more responsive beds.
